With this Easy Chili Recipe, you and your family can enjoy chili in 30 minutes! This is an easy recipe for a fast weeknight meal or a nice warm meal when your camping!
This recipe is quick and always a crowd pleaser!!
This chili recipe is a popular one for our family and gets requested a lot! I also mentioned this recipe in my 5 easy meals for camping post. It’s perfect for eating around the campfire with family and friends and goes amazing with my homemade Firecracker saltine crackers (recipe here), have you tried those? They are saltines with fiesta ranch and crushed red peppers, I promise that recipe is coming soon if you haven’t tried them yet. They are good alone, with this yummy chili and with some summer sausage and cheese. A delicious snack. What was I talking about, oh yeah this easy chili recipe.
This recipe is also budget friendly. One pot and budget friendly, win win in my book!!
The ingredients you will need are a pound of ground beef (this can be substituted with any ground meat that you prefer), one large can (40 oz) Pinto beans (again please feel free to substitute the beans you like, this is what my family enjoys), 2 cans (8 oz) tomato sauce and one package chili seasoning.
Did I mention this recipe is easy with only 4 ingredients and that it’s made in one pot?? Grab your large pot and brown the ground meat. Cook till no longer pink and drain the grease.
Add in the Pinto beans, the 2 cans of tomato sauce and the chili seasoning. Stir together well and bring to a boil. Once boiling, simmer for 10 minutes.
Time to eat, like it said this chili is great with Firecrackers, but it’s also great with cornbread. We’ve really been enjoying the new Pillsbury cornbread rolls, yummy with a capital Y!!! Add some onions and cheese and you are ready!!
With our family we usually have left overs, this chili is easy to freeze. I let it cool and put in a freezer container. Another great alternative is chili dogs!! This chili is delicious on a hot dog with some cheese and onion, or chili cheese fries. Oh my goodness, now I am hungry. Thinking maybe chili?
If I am going to make it out camping, I sometimes will cook the ground meat ahead of time, it definitely is a time saver, honestly you could cook the whole pot ahead of time and take out and reheat. Whatever works for you!! That’s the beauty of it! If you give this one a try, let me know!! Or maybe you’ve already made it, what do you think?
