Now don’t get me wrong coffee is my go to and I have a large glass of iced coffee every morning and afternoon. I add in a glass of Iced Matcha as a treat every now and then. It is super easy, there is something about that seeing that pretty green in my glass. Very satisfying. Ready to see how I make it?

Ingredients

Matcha – I use “Jade Leaf” matcha powder , it should be a latte mix or ceremonial grade. You don’t need a lot and it gives a smooth flavor.

Water – a lot of people like to use warm/ hot water. I use room temp from my water cooler and use a handheld mixer, I purchased this one on Amazon. It works amazing to mix the powder and it creates a frothy texture.

Milk – You can use whatever milk you prefer. I like to use sweetened almond milk.

Vanilla Syrup – This ingredient is completely optional, I like it to give a little bit of flavor and like the Torani Vanilla syrup

Ice – a handful or enough to fill your glass.

Let’s Make It.

Grab a liquid measuring cup and add in 1/4 cup of water and 1 tsp of Matcha powder. In the same measuring cup use a mini mixer or whisk and mix until all lumps are gone. The mini mixer is amazing at blending it all together. Now pour in 8 ounces of your choice of milk and the 2 tsp of vanilla syrup. I like to use the mixer again to get it mixed well and it creates a beautiful froth. The looks of this drink alone get me every time. Pour over ice in your favorite glass and sip sip enjoy!

This drink is creamy and frothy and is refreshing on a hot summer day! Matcha is good for you and a healthier option than coffee. Matcha is ridiculously full of antioxidants, catechins, flavonoids, and polyphenols. Catechins are phenolic compounds found in tea, cocoa, and berries. They’re considered potent in antioxidant activity, and can regulate blood pressure, promote weight loss, and help prevent disease. So not only is it delicious it is a great option that you can feel good about!
