Ingredients You’ll Need:

To create this delectable ranch potato salad, you’ll need a few key ingredients that come together to make a flavor explosion. Gather some potatoes (I use Russet potatoes but you can use red potatoes also.) Creamy ranch dressing, celery, pickles, red onion, mayonnaise, salt and pepper. These ingredients create the perfect blend of flavors. Combined they create a potato salad that will have everyone asking for more. Potato salad always intimidated me, seemed impossible. I was the one who would buy the store bought version, put it in a bowl, sprinkle a little paprika and call it homemade. My friends I am telling you that if you use my recipe you will be the master of potato salad!

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Start by peeling and dicing the potatoes (if using red wash and scrub to remove any dirt or debris.) into bite-sized pieces, making sure they are all roughly the same size for even cooking. Place the potato pieces in a pot of cold water and bring to a boil. Cook the potatoes until they are fork-tender, but still slightly firm, about 10-15 minutes.

While the potatoes are cooking, dice the celery, pickles and red onion. If you don’t have pickles on hand, pickle relish will also work. I have done it in the past and worked like a charm! Put these ingredients aside until you are ready to mix all together.

When the potatoes are done drain the water and add to a large bowl. Rinse and cover the potatoes with cold water until the potatoes are cool. Once they are cool, drain again.

In the same bowl, gently toss the cooked potatoes with the mayo and ranch dressing until all the potatoes are evenly coated. Add in celery, pickles, red onion, salt and pepper mixing everything together gently. Taste and adjust the seasoning if needed.

Place in the refrigerator to chill before serving. Follow these simple steps for a delicious and crowd-pleasing potato salad that is sure to be a hit at your next gathering.

For the best results, make sure to let the flavors meld together in the refrigerator for at least an hour before serving.

Storage and Serving Suggestions:

When it comes to storing your delicious ranch potato salad, it’s important to keep it refrigerated in an airtight container. This will help maintain its freshness and prevent any potential foodborne illnesses. Your potato salad should be consumed within 3-4 days for the best taste and quality.

When serving your ranch potato salad, be sure to give it a gentle stir to redistribute the dressing and flavors. If the salad seems a bit dry after refrigeration, you can add a splash of ranch dressing to freshen it up. For added flair, consider garnishing with a sprinkle of paprika or a handful of crispy bacon bits before serving.

By following these storage and serving suggestions, you can ensure that your easy ranch potato salad remains just as delicious as when you first made it. Enjoy this flavorful dish at your next gathering or as a tasty side dish with any meal.

In conclusion, this easy ranch potato salad recipe is sure to become a staple at your gatherings. With these simple ingredients, you’ll be whipping up this dish in no time. Don’t hesitate to try it out and delight your loved ones with a flavorful twist on a classic favorite. So go ahead, grab those potatoes and ranch dressing, and get ready to impress with this delicious dish. Happy cooking!
