My name is Jasmin, I am a 44 year old wife to my high school sweetheart. Mom to my one and only daughter, who I should mention is a teen. We are PB & J,” PJ, Bridgette and Jasmin ” and how I came up with the name I Heart PB & J. I am a proud homemaker and enjoy finding ways to budget and make life a little easier.
I was born and raised in Southern Arizona, Tucson to be exact. My husband and I met when we were both freshmen in high school and still after all these years love to do things together. In a lot of ways, we grew up together. We are now raising our 16 year old daughter and enjoying our life as a family.
I have been a stay at home mom since my daughter was 6 months old. I have learned a lot along the way. Like most moms, when my daughter was born I had no idea how to take care of a baby. I was nervous, but knew that being her mom was what I was meant to do. I know corny, right? That’s what all moms say, but with all my heart I know it to be true. I consider myself lucky that I was there to see every milestone and watch her grow. Along the way I learned a lot. I had no idea how to be a mom, take care of a house, cook or clean. I might as well be honest. Pinterest was a huge help and with that I continued to grow into who I am now.
My family and I do everything together and actually enjoy each other’s company. That can be rare these days. We enjoy the outdoors and absolutely love camping. We have a camping trailer that we try to take out a few times every year. I definitely would call myself a mountain girl and when the mountains call I am there! Living in the desert we tend to go to Northern Arizona in the pines and mountains. It’s always a nice escape from the heat. My husband is a hunter and we love to tag along. It’s always the family time that I crave, sitting around a warm, crackling campfire. That is my happy place. In all honesty, even sitting at home watching a movie or TV together is my happy place. One of my favorite sayings is, “Together is my favorite place to be.” What is your favorite thing to do with your family?
This blog is a creative outlet for me, you could call it a hobby. I hope you will stick around and let me share with you my journey and what I have learned as a full time wife and mom. Call me crazy but I love to meal plan and make lists. I love lists!! Doing that has helped save my family money! I will share with you my many budgeting and cleaning hacks. Blogging is totally new to me, so please bare with me. As someone who loves to write I am excited to see where this goes.
