Seriously!! The Easiest Clam Chowder You Will Ever Make!

Jump to Recipe

Years ago I made my first pot of Clam Chowder. I used my tried and true Betty Crocker cookbook. It was delicious but was a lot of work and a lot of mess. In those days especially as I was just starting out as a young wife I didn’t know what I was doing and usually made mistakes or a huge mess.

That was when I decided there had to be a simpler way to make delicious meals. Meals that taste as good as if you spent the entire day cooking. Want to know my secret to easy Clam Chowder? Well then let’s get right to it.

Ingredients.

Did I mention this recipe is affordable? No? Well, it is!! You will need 2 cans of store Clam Chowder, (your favorite brand or whatever is on sale) and 2 cans feed my family of 3 with usually a bowl left over for the next day. So you can adjust according to the amount you are serving. You will also need 2 cans of diced clams, drained, half a bag of small cooked shrimp, and real bacon bits, just a handful is plenty.

Let’s start cooking.

I add all the ingredients to a saucepan. Seriously that’s it. Embarrassed to say that I really didn’t need this paragraph. But I am efficient and here are your directions. Add all ingredients to a saucepan or pot, and mix well. Bring to a boil and simmer for 10 minutes. This goes well with grilled steak. This is also in my 5 Easy Meals for Camping post, go check that one out too! It can also be served along with some garlic toast. It’s beyond delicious.

It almost wasn’t quite post worthy but knew deep down I needed to share this one with you!! My family and I vacation in Oregon occasionally and always enjoy a good bowl of Clam Chowder, my husband says he likes this one better. If you give this one a try be sure to let me know what you think!
